Certain compliance deadlines for dairies and other concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) have been extended to Feb. 27, 2009, by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The new date applies to newly defined CAFOs seeking National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit coverage. It also sets the deadline for permitted CAFOs to develop and implement nutrient management plans (NMPs) as required by EPA’s 2003 CAFO rule. Read the full story...
